INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
Your privacy is important to us. We built PicFix with privacy at its core because your photos are personal and we respect that.
Here's our approach in a nutshell: We only collect what we need, we don't sell anything, and your photos stay under your control. This policy explains exactly how PicFix collects, uses, and protects your data.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Email → Why: To allow you to securely sign in to your account
- Name → Why: To personalize your experience
- Date of birth → Why: To personalize recommendations
- Phone number → Why: To verify accounts and prevent abuse
- Device info (iOS version, model) → Why: To ensure the app works properly on your device
- Usage data (what features you use) → Why: To improve the app and fix bugs
- Photos you select for editing → Why: To apply AI edits to your photos
WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT
- Location → We don't need to know where you are
- Contacts → Your contacts are none of our business
- Your photo library → We only see photos you explicitly select for editing
- Health data → Not an Apple Health app
- Children's Data → We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under age 13. If you believe someone under age 13 has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your data to:
- Apply AI photo edits - This is the main purpose of the app
- Improve the app experience - Fix bugs and add features users want
- Measure our marketing - Understand which campaigns bring users to the app and measure the effectiveness of marketing for our own apps and services
- Send you notifications - Only if you enable them
- Personalize your experience - Tailor the app experience and recommendations to you
- Protect the service - Verify accounts and help prevent abuse
Important: We DON'T use your photos to train AI models. Your photos are yours.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WE USE
We use trusted service providers to operate the app:
- AI Processing → Google Gemini (Google LLC) processes your selected photos and prompts to generate AI results. We do not permit use of your data for model training.
- Analytics & Product Improvement → We use analytics providers to improve app performance, analyze user session data, and diagnose issues. Text, inputs, and photos are not collected as part of this.
- Purchases & Subscriptions → We use payment and subscription service providers to manage purchases and premium access.
- Refund Requests → If you submit a refund request through Apple, we may provide Apple with information about your purchase, subscription, and use of purchased features to help evaluate the request.
- Marketing Measurement → We use marketing measurement partners to understand which campaigns bring users to the app and measure the effectiveness of marketing for our own apps and services.
- Infrastructure → We use secure cloud infrastructure providers to operate the service and store account data.
DATA RETENTION
Photos: Stored while your account is active. Deleted when you remove an edit or delete your account.
Account data: Kept until you delete your account. You can delete your account anytime from Settings.
IMPORTANT PROMISES
- We DON'T sell your data - Not now, not ever
- We DON'T use your photos to train AI - Your photos are yours, and we don't permit third parties to train on them either
- You control your photos - Delete edits or your account anytime and they're gone
- AI sharing is required - Sending photos to Google Gemini is how the app works; without it we cannot apply edits

You have the right to:
- Delete your account anytime - Settings → Delete Account

- Ask us to delete specific data - Email hello@photocameraapp.com
- Your photos belong to you - Always
- Opt out of analytics - Email hello@photocameraapp.com
